How much will this cost me? Usually, a simple one page website costs 50 dollars if you would like me to host your site. As you add graphics and extra pages, the fees go up. Editing pages once posted have a nominal fee as well.
Why pay someone? Either you like webdesign or you don't. It is important to decide if you want to learn all the ins and out of design, XML, JavaScript, and FTP.
Why pay to host? There are lots of free hosting companies. You get what you pay for. Those companies come with advertising added to your pages. They are restrictive on the content allowed on your site.
Is an Internet Presence Important? The world is expanding into a technological age. To reach the youth, you must go to their medium. Internet is where many people will search.
Why Legg's Designs? I will take the time to create your vision. I love web design and I am always searching for new ways to do things. I am taking classes to stay on top of all the changes in the web design world.
How do I contact you? Go to the contact page and fill out a form. I will respond as quickly as possible.
Search Engine Optimization? What is it and why use it? There are several search engines scrolling over the internet, cataloging the websites. SEO is a targeted plan with the engines in mind to help your site post at the top of the search results. This is important when someone is looking for a service or product you offer and does not know your site.
Graphics? How many? Use graphics sparingly. We have all seen those wonderful sites that have lots of flash and color. They take a long to load the page and your visitor may not want to wait that long. They are distracting from the message you want to pass on to your visitors.
How long does this take? Typically, I can have your site up and running in two days. I work during the daytime and spend my evenings designing. The time frame varied depending upon your turnaround to content and text.
What do I need to get started? Pick the name of your site. Pick the color of your site. Decide what you want your site to say. Decide what pages you want to use. Is there any graphics you have or would like me to create? Have a layout in your mind of what you want. Two column? Three? Header, Footer? Cruise the internet and find some sites you like and use them as examples.
How do I pay you? I accept PayPal. This is the painless way to pay on the internet.
